Mr. Collins started his law career in Dallas, Texas in 1977. He was awarded an AV rating, the highest rating available, by Martindale the first year he was eligible. He was born in Dallas and has ties to the community. He attended Texas A&M University and was the first commanding officer of Parsons Mounted Cavalry, the horse-mounted corps unit.
Mr. Collins has earned a reputation as a fair, honest and aggressive civil litigator who has successfully handled business disputes, contract litigation, landlord tenant issues, custody issues and family law matters, including probate proceedings.
Mr. Collins established the firm in 1994. As the firm’s managing partner, Mr. Collins has tried a number of cases as lead counsel. He has tried cases dealing with family law issues before both judges and juries, as well as other civil cases. He has represented the Board of Directors in a publicly owned company, as well as individuals involved in probate disputes. His experience allows him to recognize issues that are not apparent on the surface, but vital to the overall resolution of the matter.
Under Mr. Collins’ fair and consistent leadership, the firm has followed the guiding vision of pursuing, defending and securing results that are in the client’s best interest. Mr. Collins has also helped shape the firm’s ethical commitment, which is to approach each matter and client with honest “straight talk” at all times.
Mr. Collins’ professional career is balanced by his dedication to family, and spending quality time with his wife Becky and their three children. He is a Board Member of several organizations, and has received the Samuel G. Winstead Award for Volunteer Service. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
